(design as religion)

For lunch yesterday, I went to my favorite mood-altering furniture store: Limn.

It is so enormous and beautifully displayed, you truly step into another universe. Nothing but cool concrete floors and miles of modern, clean-lined furnishings -- only in solid colors. It's truly a dream. As expected, I left uplifted and inspired.

Then I checked out the website which shows this whole thing they call the Limn Almanac. Dig:

"Who designs religion? God? Priests? Artists? You?
In the first issue of LIMN ALMANAC, we're probing into the ideas behind art and design: how artists and designers have "designed" religion and how design itself has become like a religion."

Ha!
