I made a confession to a clerk at Macy's yesterday. I'm not sure what came over me, but it seemed really important to tell her as she handed me my receipt, "You know I've never had nice luggage." She replied with commission and vim, "You do now!"

The occasion is a bachelorette party to be held in New Orleans. It will be my first time there ever and I'm stoked. Part of what made the trip so affordable is that we'll be changing planes. Overhead compartment expandable red suitcase: check!
